A Nevada woman has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for producing child pornography after sexually abusing a four-year-old child and distributing explicit material to a co-offender. Alexandria Marie Wright, 32, of Moapa, Nevada, pleaded guilty in June 2025 to the production of child pornography. The sentencing took place in St. George, Utah.

U.S. District Court Judge Ann Marie McIff Allen also ordered Wright to serve a lifetime of supervised release following her prison term.

Court documents reveal that from an unknown date through October 31, 2021, Wright exchanged sexual messages and media with her co-conspirator. In the fall of 2021, they met and discussed abusing a child known to Wright. On October 31, Wright brought the four-year-old victim to her co-conspirator and participated in sexually abusing the child for the purpose of creating visual depictions of the abuse.

The investigation began after Wright’s co-conspirator was arrested on August 7, 2024, in Kansas. Authorities recovered sexually explicit images of the child during this arrest, leading to prosecution.

“These unthinkable acts will not go unanswered,” said U.S. Attorney Melissa Holyoak of the District of Utah. “Child predators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It is our hope that the victim and the victim’s family can move forward knowing justice is served against Wright and that she is removed from society and away from preying on other children.”

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Lola Police Department in Lola, Kansas conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Christopher Burton prosecuted the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah.

This prosecution falls under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation by coordinating efforts among federal, state, and local agencies.
