Salina City officials announced on Apr. 21 that emergency repairs to the Pressurized Irrigation (PI) system have been completed ahead of schedule and the system is now fully operational.

The update means residents can resume watering their properties according to their normal assigned schedules, effective immediately. The city also reminded residents to water only after 6:00 PM on scheduled days in order to conserve water and maintain adequate system pressure.

City crews worked quickly to address an emergency leak, restoring service sooner than anticipated. In a statement directed at residents, officials said, “Thank you for your patience and cooperation while our crews worked to fix this!”

The PI system provides critical irrigation resources for Salina City households. The recent repairs are part of ongoing efforts by city staff to ensure reliable utility services for the community.

Water conservation remains a priority for Salina City as demand increases during warmer months. Residents are encouraged to follow recommended watering times and schedules moving forward.
