The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is organizing a Small Business Day event on February 4 at the State Capitol in Salt Lake City. This gathering provides NFIB members an opportunity to engage with elected officials and policymakers on matters crucial to their businesses.

Among the notable attendees are Ryan Starks, Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity; Stephen Lisonbee, Senior Advisor for Rural Affairs for Governor Spencer Cox; and Margaret Busse, Executive Director of the Utah Department of Commerce. Discussions will focus on issues such as taxes, labor costs, and inflation.

The event aims to connect business owners with legislators, ensuring that their concerns are considered in policy-making processes. Attendance is free but requires prior registration.

The NFIB Utah Small Business Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Aspen Room at the Senate East Building located at 120 E Capitol St., Salt Lake City. For assistance with registration or further inquiries, contact Grassroots Manager Taylor Criddle via email at Taylor.Criddle@nfib.org.
