Caile Noble, a 67-year-old resident of Taylorsville, Utah, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his involvement in methamphetamine distribution and money laundering. The sentence was handed down after Noble admitted to obtaining large quantities of methamphetamine from outside Utah and distributing it within the state.

Noble pleaded guilty on April 3, 2025, to charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Senior U.S. District Court Judge Ted Stewart also imposed a five-year supervised release term and ordered the forfeiture of over $25,000 and Noble’s residence used for drug distribution.

Court documents reveal that since July 2022, Noble led a drug trafficking organization responsible for transporting approximately sixty pounds of methamphetamine into Utah for redistribution in the Salt Lake Valley. Noble managed the acquisition and transportation of the drugs before coordinating with redistributors who sold them in varying amounts.

Noble’s criminal history includes distribution convictions dating back to 1986. He is also facing state charges for first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated arson.

Acting U.S. Attorney Felice John Viti stated, “The defendant’s conduct in this case and his nearly 40-year history of peddling poison for profit are egregious.” Special Agent Carissa Messick from the IRS Criminal Investigation Phoenix Field Office added that Noble was motivated by greed without regard for community safety.

Dustin Gillespie from the DEA highlighted that the investigation confirmed connections between Noble’s activities and the Sinaloa Cartel’s operations in Utah. The case was investigated by the DEA Salt Lake City Metro Narcotics Task Force.

Assistant United States Attorney Seth Nielsen prosecuted the case as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing violent crime through collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities.
