Darrell Glenn DeVoge, 50, of Cedar City, Utah, has been sentenced to six years in prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to theft of firearms from a licensed dealer. This sentencing concludes the case involving the burglary of a C-A-L Ranch store in Cedar City in November 2023.
DeVoge’s codefendants are Russell Wesley Gruber, 31, described as the ringleader of the burglary, and Parker Darrell DeVoge, 21, who is Darrell DeVoge’s son. Gruber received a sentence of six years in prison with three years’ supervised release on July 9, 2025. Parker DeVoge was sentenced on April 22, 2025 to sixteen months’ imprisonment and three years’ supervised release. All three have been ordered to pay $2,406.11 in restitution to C-A-L Ranch.
According to court documents and statements made during plea and sentencing hearings, the group carried out the initial burglary at C-A-L Ranch just before midnight on November 21, 2023. The defendants were armed with guns that had been stolen by Gruber and Parker DeVoge during earlier burglaries. After breaking display cases inside the store, they took dozens of firearms before fleeing the scene. Hours later on November 22, Gruber and Parker DeVoge returned for a second burglary attempt before store opening hours.
In total, seventy-five firearms were stolen by the defendants; these included rifles, shotguns, revolvers and pistols as well as ammunition and firearm accessories such as red dot sights. The stolen weapons were later stored by Gruber and Darrell DeVoge after being transported across state lines.
