The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) has announced a waste pesticide collection event scheduled for September 3, 2025. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Logan UDOT Shed located at 790 West 200 North in Logan.

These events are offered as a free public service to help individuals safely dispose of unwanted or unusable pesticides. According to UDAF, more than 60 tons of waste have been collected since the program began in 2018.

The collection effort is organized through a partnership between the Utah Department of Transportation, Clean Harbors Environmental Services, and UDAF.

Waste pesticides accepted at the event include herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other similar products that are no longer wanted, cannot be used as originally intended, or have been canceled by the EPA. Chlorpyrifos products are also included. Fertilizer-only products such as urea are not accepted; however, fertilizer blended with pesticides—such as weed and feed—will be taken.
