A man from St. George, Utah, Jaycee Stewart, aged 33, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for charges related to the receipt of child sexual abuse materials. U.S. District Court Judge Ann Marie McIff Allen delivered the sentence after Stewart pleaded guilty on November 4, 2024.
In addition to his prison term, Stewart will face a lifetime of supervised release and is required to pay restitution to the victims.
Court documents reveal that on April 12, 2023, an elementary school child reported being sexually abused by Stewart. The victim disclosed that Stewart had inappropriate images in his possession and used items during the abuse. A search of Stewart’s residence uncovered numerous images depicting child sexual abuse both physically displayed and stored digitally.
Stewart was previously convicted in Utah state court for possession of child pornography in 2015. He has also pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two victims and awaits sentencing in state court for those charges.
The investigation was conducted by the St. George Police Department, with Assistant United States Attorney Christopher Burton prosecuting the case.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts across federal, state, and local levels.
