The Utah men’s basketball team announced on Apr. 22 the addition of transfer guard TJ Burch from Wright State to its roster for the next season.
Burch arrives after a standout sophomore year, during which he was named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. He also earned First-Team All-Horizon League honors, highlighting his impact on both ends of the court.
According to information released by Utah, Burch helped Wright State secure its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance by contributing to both regular-season and tournament championships in the Horizon League. He led the league with 88 steals, ranking third nationally in total steals and seventh in average steals per game at 2.6.
Burch will join new teammates Alec Anigbata, Taison Chatman, Jackson Holcombe, Styles Clemmons, Zati Loubaki as well as returning missionaries Jaxon Johnson and David Katoa for the 2026-27 season.
