Utah Tech dropped to sixth place after two rounds at the 2026 Western Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championships on April 21 at The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch Hills Course in McKinney, Texas.
The team recorded a second consecutive score of 13-over-par 311, resulting in a total of plus-46, or 622 strokes over two days. Tarleton State posted the day’s lowest round with a one-over-par 289 and moved into a tie for first place with Abilene Christian at plus-19, totaling 585 strokes. UT Arlington stands third at plus-31 (607), followed by Utah Valley in fourth (609), California Baptist in fifth (612), and Southern Utah seventh (632).
Three Utah Tech players are ranked among the top twenty individuals. Senior Jane Olson is tied for twelfth after shooting rounds of 74 and 78 for a total of plus-8 (152). Junior Mia Cesarek scored one birdie and fourteen pars during her second round to finish with a five-over-par 77; she is tied for fifteenth overall at plus-9 (155). Fellow junior Samantha Phelan carded two birdies as part of her seven-over-par round, placing her tied for nineteenth at plus-11 (157).
Sophomore Maria Purroy Galan improved by four shots on her second day to shoot a round of seventy-seven with two birdies, moving into a tie for twenty-third place at plus-12 (158). Redshirt freshman Gabrielle Roznicki also improved her standing by one spot and now holds thirty-third position overall with an eighteen-over-par total of 162.
The Trailblazers will aim to climb the leaderboard during Wednesday’s final round, which begins at seven o’clock Mountain Time.
