The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) informs drivers to prepare for notable delays on I-80 near 6000 West over the next two weeks.
Beginning at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, I-80 will be limited to one lane in each direction from 7200 West to 5600 West. This restriction will last for approximately two weeks as crews conduct bridge maintenance.
"We recommend drivers use alternate routes to avoid delays," stated UDOT Region Two Project Manager John Montoya. "The work we're doing will add years to the life of the bridge, allowing people to get to where they're going safely and efficiently."
Construction timelines are dependent on weather conditions and may change.
