The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has completed the placement of bridge girders for a new interchange at 2100 North and Redwood Road in Lehi. This work was carried out over a three-week closure that began on February 21. Crews are now preparing these girders for concrete placement to form the bridge deck.

Redwood Road remains closed at night to through traffic, with left turns not permitted. This restriction is expected to continue until mid-March.

The project includes adding four miles to the Mountain View Corridor, connecting Porter Rockwell Boulevard with 2100 North. This extension aims to provide an additional transportation option for drivers in northwest Utah County and southwest Salt Lake County. It will be the first section of the corridor built as a freeway without stoplights.

Further work involves installing wildlife fencing and creating a multi-use trail, with construction projected to last until spring 2026. The Mountain View Corridor is planned to eventually extend 35 miles from I-80 in Salt Lake County to SR-73 in Utah County.

In related developments, crews have also placed beams for a new bridge on the 5600 South project in Roy, which will carry traffic over the Union Pacific Railroad. Beam placement will continue this week, necessitating several nightly closures from March 3-5.

Closures include:

- The area underneath 5600 South

- The I-15 Southbound on-ramp at Riverdale Road each night

- Two southbound I-15 travel lanes at 5600 South each night

However, on and off-ramps to I-15 at 5600 will remain accessible.

UDOT advises that construction schedules may change due to weather conditions. For updates on traffic restrictions during construction, visit the UDOT Traffic website or download their app for iPhone or Android devices. UDOT also provides updates via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
